Spay & Neuter Service

At Acorn Animal , we perform safe and effective spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats. Spaying or neutering your pet is important for two main reasons. First, it helps curb the amount of dogs and cats that are homeless – millions are euthanized each year for this reason. Second, it has important health and behavioral benefits for your pet. It reduces aggression, and even lowers incidences of some cancers. We take your trust seriously, and will make sure your dog or cat receives truly wonderful and compassionate care.

Over the last 13 years, this place has been amazing. They took such great care of our dog and walked us patiently through each twist that came our way. When we had to say goodbye to him on Wednesday, we realized how this amazing place and the people that work there had turned into part of our family. I will always be grateful for the amazing care he had there.

I cannot say enough good things about Acorn. The last 6 months have been very difficult for our dog Sydney who has been diagnosed with Lymphoma (currently in remission). Dr. Violin has been there for us from the start, guided us in the right direction, and because of that Sydney is still here with us today. The continued support and phone calls to check in have meant more to us then I can put in to words.

Acorn has always given excellent care of all the pets I have taken to them. The front desk staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable. Dr’s always call back to personally give reports and/or email results. Dr. Weitzman and Dr. Pinel are my favorites but all the Dr’s there are great. I have been going there for 20+ years and will continue to go even though it is a bit out of the way. Well worth the trip!!

I’ve been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. The Veterinarians and technicians could not be more kind, informed, or professional. They’ve even taken extra time and attention to research and respond to some of my questions about alternative care. The rest of the staff is also super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Thank you for taking great care of my dogs.

What To Expect

The first step is to give us a call to schedule your visit!

During your visit, we will ask about your pet’s history, run tests to make sure they are healthy enough for surgery, and explain what happens during the procedure.

During the procedure itself, your pet’s vitals will be monitored by trained professionals, and we will use modern technology to make sure the procedure is safe and effective.

Once your pet is done, we will advise you on after-care instructions, and will answer any questions you might have!
